How to Follow Up With Customers Without Looking Desperate
Following up is not desperate when the customer actually asked about your product or service. The problem is following up with no purpose.

Following up is not desperate when the customer actually asked about your product or service. The problem is following up with no purpose.
Follow up with context
Do not send 'Hi boss update?' five times.
Mention
- What they asked for
- What you sent
- What next decision is needed
Give a useful reason to reply
Make the message easy to answer.
Examples
- Do you want option A or B
- Should I hold this date
- Do you need me to adjust the quotation
Know when to stop
Repeated silence is also an answer.
Set a limit
- A few useful follow ups
- Then close politely
- Leave the door open
My view
Good follow up helps a customer make a decision. Bad follow up only reminds them that you want a sale.
