Laminate, veneer and solid wood can all look good. The best choice depends on budget, usage and the look you want.

Laminate, veneer and solid wood can all look good. The best choice depends on budget, usage and the look you want.
Laminate is practical
Laminate is common for offices because it comes in many finishes and is usually easier on the budget.
Good for
- Cabinets
- Workstations
- Pantry
- Large quantities
Veneer gives a natural wood look
Veneer uses a thin layer of real wood, so the grain can look more natural.
Consider
- Higher cost than basic laminate
- More care needed
- Natural variation
Solid wood is not automatically the best choice
Solid wood can be beautiful, but it is heavier and usually more expensive.
Use when
- The design benefits from it
- Budget allows
- Maintenance is understood
My view
Ask your contractor to show actual samples. Photos on a phone can look very different from the material under your office lighting.
